Episode 42 – Costco Hanks

Look, a Kingdom Hearts game is actually out for the first time in nearly a decade, so we’re gonna talk about it, but I promise you it’s worth it. We dive into the surprisingly subversive nature of Kingdom Hearts 3, the calm that comes from running through Resident Evil 2 over and over again, and how Tetris 99 convinced us that Nintendo Switch Online is worth your while.

Spoiler warning: There are some spoilers in the Kingdom Hearts segment (largely about the ending of the Pirates of the Caribbean segment, as well some obliquely-described lore discussions). There’s a relatively huge one 1:05:51 to 1:06:20 (again, no specifics but it’s enough for the warning). If you want to skip the whole thing, avoid 55:45 to 1:15:00.

This week, we talk about the hellscape of social media and the games we’ve bought the most.
